It will be fun they said.
I feel like blogging is one of those things you're really good at or really bad at. You either have hundreds of people following your blog or maybe just your mom. I don't see myself ever being one of those bloggers who people follow daily and I'm totally okay with that. I want this space to be something I make my own and although I follow many blogs I don't ever want to feel like I have to post on a certain topic or post about what's trending at the time, but if I do then so be it.
A year and a half ago I spontaneously moved to Hendersonville, NC to live with my boyfriend of 6 months. Did people think I was crazy and naive? Absolutely. That was the first time where I felt like I had to start living live for me so I did it. I would miss my friends and family like crazy but the past year and a half has been such an experience, one that I plan to always be grateful for. I learned that friendships take work, especially when you all don't live in the same small town anymore but that you will have friends who make that "work" completely worth it. I learned that sometimes you really have to rely on yourself and figure out what is best for you rather than what might be best for everyone else and that's okay. I learned that I have a really hard time saying goodbye but that it isn't really ever goodbye, more like "see you in a month or two." Now almost two years later, Michael and I live in a cozy little apartment right outside of the ever so exciting downtown Asheville. I have a great job, great friendships and a life that even though may have it's ups and downs I'm really grateful for.
I hope that whoever sits and reads this blog of mine (if anyone even does) that you find some sort of enjoyment out of my little life.
