oh hey, remember me? I was in a blogging funk last week and just didn't feel like I had much to say so I put it on the back burner and focused on other things, which was nice. When I started this whole blogging thing I said that I wouldn't be one of those bloggers who had to post a certain amount of times in a week and I slowly started turning into that. I was always thinking about what to blog about next and trying to do something that would be blog worthy when I was out and about. I forgot that this is supposed to be fun and laid back...I'm not getting paid for anything, this isn't my job...it's a hobby and I want to keep it like that. Whew...with that rant over with here is a recap of last week and this past weekend, they were a fun few days!
1. My dog is weird and that is all. No but really I love this dog and she never fails to crack me up at some point everyday
2. My mom came to visit! She came up last Wednesday & Thursday and it was great having her in town
3. We tried a new Mexican restaurant by my house called La Cantina and it was so good. It isn't your typical Mexican food but it's still delicious. We both ended up getting a quesadilla with grilled chicken, spinach, black beans and sun dried tomatoes in it. The margaritas were on point too!
4. After lunch we went to some antique stores and thrift stores which is something we love to do together. I ended up getting brand new pair or Steve Madden leopard print flats for $4! The antique store in the picture is called Tobacco Barn and it is massive and somewhat overwhelming. It was actually voted best Antique store in Western NC.
5. For breakfast on Thursday we headed downtown to Early Girl Eatery. This place always has good reviews and the menu sounded really good...I usually love anything that is Farm to Table...it's always so fresh. We both got breakfast and then split a strawberry sunflower seed pancake, so freaking good.
6. Asheville sunsets are unbelievably gorgeous sometimes and I love when I'm able to capture it.
7. Saturday afternoon with the cutest guy I know. Michael went out to play disc golf Saturday morning so when he got home he took me out for a late lunch/early dinner then we ran some errands and picked out pumpkins to carve later on this month.
8. Saturday night we went over to out friends Alex & Sarah's house for a bonfire and smores. It was so much fun and it was hilarioius watching the guys keep up with the fire...they had a saw and a machete to cut trees up with and it made me so nervous. We laughed, drank pumpkin beers, ate smores and just enjoyed spending time out.
9. I spent Sunday afternoon while Michael was kayaking cheering on the panthers and giving Marissa a play by play of the game. It was definitely a good game with good competition but I'm glad Carolina came out with a win.
